Reflections:

3. When he gets on the train, he cannot find an empty seat. How is this problem solved for him? How might this be a cultural solution?

A Kid noticed Todd standing and he allow him to seat in his place. As will the boy allow himself to seat in Todd’s Laps. This could be a normal solution for similar congestions situations in India and means no harm for both side’s since Todd is Elder and this may reflected as a kind of respect.

4. As any exchange student, he has a lot of experiences trying new food. His first encounter is with an iced drink. What happens?

When Todd arrived to India, he was thirsty so he tried the first drink on his way, the iced drink, without knowing what it was exactly. After meeting Puro, Todd knew that not so many tourists accepts the iced drink and they become ill after drinking it. Todd became sick the day after drinking the iced drink.

7. Todd wants to check in to a hotel. But Puro insists he comes to a boarding house. What is the reason he gives Todd?

Puro convinced Todd that he shouldn’t be alone and Aunti Ji will take good care of him.

8. As soon as they meet, Aunti Ji starts asking very intimate questions that Americans who have just met would never ask. What kind of things does she ask?

Aunti Ji Asked about his relationship, if he is married or having a girlfriend. And would he like to meet a local Indian girl, also about his salary and his sexuality orientation which he felt uncomfortable.

CULTURES AROUND THE WORLD MAKE DECISIONS

How does Culture/ and the 12 Dimensions influence:
Life Choices?
Thinking?
Sense of Group / Accountability?

Cultures does have a lot of influences from the 12 Dimensions. Taking Amish community as an example; it’s showing clearly how they are considered as Concealing Communities because of their way in dealing with the surrounding communities. Some think they are very weird community just because they have a difficulty to accept any change in their life style. Likewise they are also somehow have an Exclusive Connections between their community beliefs and others which they don’t like to share or discuss.

In addition to that, they way Amish is currently living support the idea that they are weird and very strange community. Since it’s very difficult to live without electricity or even cars in transportation. Amish have no issues in that at all as they used to it and they are happy in avoiding any form of technology. They use horses as a way of transportation and it also go further to their clothes and what they eat.

However we cannot skepticism that all of that made the Amish community a sustained which supported by their high sense of Community Accountability.
